"Nos quadros de Tuneu, o quadrado aparece como princípio construtor de mundos. Suas medidas determinam toda a estrutura da composição, estabelecendo o ritmo das formas e a dança das cores. [...] Tuneu é realmente um mestre nesse jogo que envolve a psicologia do espectador. Seus trabalhos com o recorte da superfície são aqui os mais significativos. Após afirmar a superfície plana do quadro através da vocação espacial do quadrado, Tuneu acrescenta profundidade ao mesmo através do recorte e aprofundamento de partes da composição."

"In Tuneu's paintings, the square shows up as a main's world constructor. The size of it will define the whole structure of the composition, stabilishing the shape's rithym and the color's dance. [...] Tuneu is a real master on this game which envolves the psychology of the viewer. Here, his works with surface cuttings are the most significant. After its guaranteed the plain surface of the piece by the spacial vocation of the square itself, Tuneu adds depth to it through cutting and inclination on specific fragments of the composition."
